Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth and Arts, Sandrine Umutoni, attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference for Rotary District 9150 held over the weekend. Addressing young leaders and changemakers, she emphasized that values-driven leadership remains fundamental to Rwanda’s continued development and future prosperity. She also applauded the Rotary Club of Sports Rwanda for its impactful efforts in empowering young people through leadership and community engagement initiatives.

In her remarks, the Minister of State encouraged participants to use their positions and opportunities to advocate for others and uphold integrity in leadership. “Leadership is not only about ideas; it is about people. Access is a privilege use yours to speak for those who are not in the rooms you sit in. Stand up for what is right, not what is convenient,” she said. Her message reinforced the importance of responsible, inclusive, and service-oriented leadership among Rwanda’s youth.
