Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni Urges Collaboration at ZacuGala2025

At ZacuGala2025, themed ‘Collaboration’, Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni highlighted the importance of partnerships in strengthening Rwanda’s creative industries and advancing co-productions locally and internationally.

Yesterday,December 6,2025 Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni attended ZacuGala2025, organized by Zacu Entertainment, an annual gala celebrating Rwanda’s film and creative industry. The event recognizes the spirit, resilience, and achievements of the creative community.

In her remarks, Minister of State Umutoni emphasized that “Collaboration” is the engine of a thriving film industry, encouraging stronger co-productions within Rwanda, across Africa, and globally. She urged creators to work across disciplines including film, music, and fashion, highlighting that a strong creative ecosystem requires robust systems and partnerships in policy, education, research, and finance.

She also expressed gratitude to all creative professional’s actors, producers, directors, screenwriters, editors, stylists, musicians, and the many behind the scenes: “Thank you for carrying our voice, our identity, and our dreams with dignity.” 

The Ministry of Youth and Arts (MoYA) remains committed to supporting Rwanda’s creative industries, ensuring they become a driver of economic growth, cultural pride, and global visibility.
