Minister of Youth and Arts, Abdallah Utumatwishima, joined the Digital Skills Employment Talent Connect Event, bringing together the Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Rwanda, Digital Skills for Employment (DSE) programme graduates, innovators, employers, investors, and development partners to connect Rwanda's young digital talent with employment, investment, and partnership opportunities.

During the event, the Minister encouraged young people to continue collaborating, learning, and upgrading their education and digital skills to remain competitive in the evolving job market. He emphasised the importance of embracing artificial intelligence (AI), improving communication skills, and learning new languages to expand opportunities and compete in regional and continental markets.

Minister Utumatwishima commended Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Rwanda and the Mastercard Foundation for their continued investment in empowering young people with digital skills and creating pathways to employment and entrepreneurship.

Concluding his remarks, the Minister inspired participants with a message of confidence and determination, saying:

"Go and strive, go and win—we are ready to support you."

He reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting initiatives that equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to thrive in Rwanda's growing digital economy.
