Ministry of Youth and Arts Champions Creative Economy Financing for Africa’s Future

In partnership with Africa in Colors, RwandaYouthArts convened leaders, investors, and creatives to discuss sustainable solutions for financing Africa’s creative industries. Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni underscored the need for a unified vision to transform creativity into growth, jobs, and prosperity.

Today,28th August 2025,  RwandaYouthArts, in collaboration with Africa in Colors, brought together government leaders, development partners, financial institutions, investors, and creatives to chart pathways for sustainable financing of Africa’s creative industries. Addressing the gathering,

Minister of State for Youth and Arts, Sandrine Umutoni, emphasized that creativity drives livelihoods, sustainability, and legacy. She stressed the importance of valuing every role in the creative economy and called for stronger partnerships and innovative financing models. 

Minister Sandrine Umutoni affirmed that giving art and culture the respect they deserve will not only create jobs and growth but also shape Rwanda’s identity and secure Africa’s place as a global leader in culture, innovation, and creativity.
