Ministry of Youth and Arts Launches Initiative to Empower Rwanda’s Cultural Sector
The Ministry of Youth and Arts, in collaboration with UNESCO and the European Union, has launched a national project aimed at strengthening the Rwanda Arts Council and advancing the country’s cultural and creative industries.
The Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni emphasized the importance of building a society where creativity is not only valued, but fully empowered to drive transformation. She highlighted the government’s vision of placing culture and the creative economy at the heart of Rwanda’s development agenda, stating: “Together, let us light a path where art is accessible to all, and imagination is seen as a precious resource, to be nurtured from the youngest age.”
