MoS Sandrine Umutoni Celebrates Women’s Creativity at “At the Heart of Rwanda and Sound” Launch.

At the launch of “At the Heart of Rwanda and Sound,” MoS Sandrine Umutoni honored Rwanda’s women creatives, highlighting the strength of sisterhood, storytelling, and the growing impact of the film industry.

The Minister of State, Sandrine Umutoni, attended the launch of “At the Heart of Rwanda and Sound”, an event organized by Girls Support Girls and actress Eliane Umuhire to celebrate women’s creativity and voice.

In her remarks, MoS Sandrine Umutoni praised the initiative as a powerful space where sisterhood, creativity, and mutual support come together to advance an entire industry. “When women unite, the country advances; when they create, the nation breathes; when they support each other, it’s an entire world that wins. Girls Support Girls is a movement we want to see grow,” she stated.

Highlighting the impact of the film sector, she reminded attendees that cinema is not only an art form but also an economy—one that creates jobs, strengthens services, nurtures talent, and showcases Rwanda’s identity as a young, innovative, creative, and resilient nation. She paid tribute to all those behind and in front of the camera whose stories illuminate, question, and protect what others might overlook.
