The Ministry of Youth and Arts (MoYA), in partnership with UNFPA Rwanda, successfully concluded a four-day training programme aimed at strengthening youth leadership in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). The training brought together young people from Bugesera, Kayonza, Ngoma, and Gatsibo districts to build their capacity as SRHR Champions.

The programme equipped participants with the knowledge and skills needed to promote youth-friendly SRHR services, provide peer-to-peer mentorship, and encourage greater youth participation in improving health and well-being within their communities. Through a growing network of SRHR Champions, the initiative will help expand access to essential SRHR information and services while promoting sustainable youth engagement.

As part of the training, Elysée Kwizera and Aphrodis Ntirenganya from Inkomoko Rwanda delivered entrepreneurship and business management sessions. They introduced participants to best practices for starting and growing sustainable businesses, while highlighting opportunities for young people to apply entrepreneurial skills and contribute to Rwanda's economic development.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of MoYA and UNFPA Rwanda to empower young people with the knowledge, leadership, and practical skills they need to create positive change in their communities while improving their economic opportunities.
