While attending CARIFESTAXV in Barbados, Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni paid a courtesy call to Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister in charge of Culture, and Hon. Charles McD. Griffith, Minister of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment. Their discussions centered on deepening bilateral cooperation in the creative economy and youth empowerment, with a focus on strengthening ties between Rwanda and Barbados through culture, innovation, and opportunities for young people from both nations. 

Minister Sandrine Umutoni also joined a Luncheon hosted by Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight, which brought together Ministers in charge of Culture & Arts participating in CARIFESTAXV — creating a platform to foster dialogue, partnerships, and cultural exchange across nations.
