The Minister of Youth and Arts Dr. Utumatwishima Abdallah and high commissioner of Rwanda in India Mukangira Jacqueline represent Rwanda in a summit spotlighting innovation and creative collaboration - while strengthening Rwanda and India ties in youth culture and entertainment.

The event was Launched by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, WAVES2025 is happening in Mumbai India, connecting global media and entertainment practitioners. Rwanda is represented by Minister Dr. Utumatwishima Jean Nepo Abdallah alongside Mukangira Jacqueline (High Commissioner of Rwanda in India).

The summit focuses on fostering innovation, collaboration, and investment across various sectors, including broadcasting, film, animation, gaming, music, and digital media.

The sidelines of WAVES2025, The Minister Dr. Utumatwishima Abdallah was received by Dr. Murugan The Ministry of Information and Broadcast in India for a bilateral meeting. They discussed ways to strengthen collaboration in youth empowerment, cultural exchange and creative industries between Rwanda and India.
