Rwanda’s MoS Sandrine Umutoni Calls for Youth Inclusion at Afro-Arab Youth Congress 2025 in Kampala

Today, October 07,2025 Minister of State for Youth and arts, Sandrine Umutoni, joined senior government officials, representatives, and youth leaders from across Africa and the Arab world at the Afro-Arab Youth Congress 2025 in Kampala, Uganda, held under the theme “Amplifying Youth Voices for Peace, Unity, and Prosperity.” In her address, MoS Sandrine Umutoni expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Uganda for the warm hospitality extended to the Rwandan delegation and highlighted Rwanda’s remarkable transformation journey—from the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi to a nation rebuilt through unity, resilience, and visionary leadership. 

She emphasized the importance of including young people in all socio-economic sectors, noting that when youth are empowered and their talents nurtured, peace and prosperity become unbreakable. 

The Minister called on leaders to amplify youth voices through meaningful dialogue and to instill values of critical thinking, integrity, discipline, empathy, cultural confidence, and patriotism among the next generation.
