The Africa Diplomatic Corps briefed on the upcoming YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2024 set to be hosted in Rwanda this November
On Friday, 27 September 2024, Minister Utumatwishima Jean Nepo Abdallah, along with MoS Sandrine Umutoni, UN Rwanda Resident Coordinator Ozonnia Ojielo and Gisa Teta, the Director General in charge of Africa, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, briefed the Africa Diplomatic Corps on the upcoming YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2024 set to be hosted in Rwanda this November.
The meeting was held at Kigali Convention Centre. They discussed the progress of preparations and the role of their respective governments in the Summit, especially on mobilizing youth from across the continent.
The YouthConnekt Africa Summit will hold, in Kigali, Rwanda, its 7th edition. Convening Africa’s emerging youth innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders, the summit brings together a wide range of stakeholders, including Heads of State, policymakers, business leaders, development partners, and civil society, to address the multiple needs of young people while also fully engaging them in the processes of building solutions.
Over the years, YouthConnekt Africa has become one of the largest policy and business conveners. It hosts forward-thinking discussions on the socio-economic development of African youth cutting across industries and raising timely and pertinent reflections.
